The goal for “U Can Change Hunger” is to raise food,
funds and awareness to help relieve hunger in the United States. The campaign will run for one month and end on October 16th, also known as World Food Day. Any food collected will go to our network of local food banks and any funds raised will go towards the building and support of Community Cafes in America.
A Community Cafe is a small restaurant/cafe where everyone gets a healthy and delicious chef-inspired meal. The meals do not have prices, but rather a suggested donation amount. Guests can make the suggested donation, make a larger donation in a ʻpay-it-forwardʼ act of kindness, or for those that cannot pay, they can volunteer time to help the cafe or the nearby community. These cafes are a very dignified way to help feed those in need while building community at the same time!
